How to clean your air-conditioner filter

Cleaning your own air-conditioner filter is so easy and will actually save you money on your electricity bills!

Regular cleaning of your air-conditioner increases air-flow over the internal cooling unit, thereby lowering the ‘work’ that the air-conditioner unit needs to do to cool/heat the room. By doing this, you will have improved air quality and increased efficiency which means lower electricity use and costs.

Follow these three simple steps to clean you air-conditioner filter.

Open Air-Conditioner Unit

Open the front top cover of your indoor unit by pulling opening towards you and hinge upwards.
Clean FIlters

Lift and slide out filters and with a vacuum or dustbuster, remove as much dust as possible. Once you have removed the bulk of the dust, wash gently under hose or tap. Set the filters aside to dry.
Re-assemble Air-Conditioner

Once filters have dryed thoroughly, insert filters back into the air-conditioner unit and close front cover.
